Design
Sony Ericsson Xperia Active was created for those who are active activities in the outdoors. Casing range Xperia smartphone is designed to protect the innards from dust and water splashes. He is also able to withstand minor dings. But we do not know whether he is strong against salt water, or to limit the depth where it is able to survive when submerged.

The size is 92 x 55 x 16.5 mm, fairly compact and easy to carry anywhere. Delicious gripped, included in the bag, or fanny pack. Extra hard body seems to affect the overall weight of the Xperia Active. With the battery installed it reached 110.8 grams, quite heavy considering its size is not too large.

Regarding the display, Sony Ericsson put a 3-inch screen LED-backlit LCD, capacitive touch screen with 16 million color depth. Equipped with mobile Bravia engine to give an extra touch to the graphics.

Note
The shape is a bit quirky with a lump in the bottom hole to insert the hook into it. Added to the right side of the volume control and camera shutter. While the bottom there is a USB port and headset covered with a rubber cover.

Features
There is a 5 megapixel camera on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active is also capable of recording 720p video. The interface features a camera aligned with the Sony Cybershot digital camera interface. The entire selection in the feature can be accessed with just one tap. The images can be directly uploaded to facebook and picasa. Or you can send them via email.

Sony Ericsson Music player is very user-friendly, with large buttons for easy navigation. Users will get the equalizer settings and options xLOUD, which increases the loudness of the speakers. Finally, there is the Infinite which lets you do a quick search for the lyrics of a song, karaoke videos on YouTube, artist biographies and discographies, and so on.

Xperia Active, like a smartphone with Android operating system others have access to Android Market for downloading aplkasi created specifically for Android. Features GPS Navigation which is admirable because of its high level of accuracy. Like the European football? There are smartphone apps for the UEFA standings updates, news, photos and many other interesting things related to football.

Note
Sony Ericsson Xperia Active has the features office in the form of an Office application suite.

Performance
With the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active we have a 1GHz processor that delivers a solid data processing speed more quickly, especially considering this is a smartphone that is usually more interested in outdoor power outer shell rather than depth. The entire application works perfectly, even running some while still felt tight.

The major drawback is the smartphone telephony functions. You will be a little hard to hear the callers voice because the speakers are not good. Batteries that reinforces Sony Ericsson Xperia Active has a capacity of 1200mAh. And to 4.5 hours of talk time and 14 days stand-by.

Google event schedule for October 29 and here is whats gunna happen

Diverting some of the attention away from Apple’s ‘iPad mini’ unveiling on October 23 and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 event on October 29, Google is to unveil a number of new devices and software improvements on the same day as Microsoft - and I have all the details.

A source with knowledge of Google’s plans has told a few websites that the search giant has been distributing a video recorded at one of its weekly all-hands “TGIF” meetings on its internal network, which details the devices that will be unveiled at its hastily arranged October 29 event (which I will also be covering).

Confirming leaks from various inventory systems and advertisements in both the US and the UK, Google will release a 32GB variant of the Nexus 7. However, sources also tells us that there will be a second 32GB variant that will offer HSPA+ (3G) support, allowing users to take the tablet on their travels.

Google has also been working with Samsung to launch a 10-inch tablet, confirming leaks which suggested Google had teamed up with the Korean manufacturer for another device. Our source tells us that internally the tablet goes under the name “Codename Manta”, runs Google’s new Android 4.2 operating system (previously referred to as Key Lime Pie, but is set to retain the Jelly Bean branding), and will offer a 2560×1600 pixel (16:10) resolution, which we believe will offer around 300 pixels per inch (PPI) compared to the new iPad’s 264 PPI.

The Manta codename also ties up with Android Police’s sleuthing, where it was suggested the launch of a 10-inch tablet device. We believe the Samsung tablet will be called the ‘Nexus 10′ but we were unable to confirm at the time of publishing.

Earlier last week, we tweeted details on the next Nexus smartphone, which will be manufactured by LG. We have been informed that earlier leaks have been 100 percent correct.

This means that Google will launch the LG Nexus 4, featuring a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon processor, 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 display, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera (and 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper) and a 2100mAh battery.

The LG Nexus 4 will also be powered by Google’s new Android 4.2 software.

Speaking of the OS itself, we have some details on that too. It has been confirmed that as part of Android 4.2, Google will introduce ‘Content in the center,’ which will allow users to access Play Store content from a widget and ‘Tablet Sharing’ which will suit families and enterprise users, providing them with a simple and easy to switch between several users on a tablet, each with their own email and apps.

Think Windows user switching, but now on Android.

Our source says that Android 4.2 will compete with Apple’s iOS 6, in that the panoramic camera settings will be updated to support both horizontal and vertical movement by default.

While Microsoft is holding its event in San Francisco on October 29, Google has chosen to hold its own event in New York.

Google’s event tagline of “The playground is open” suggests there will be quite a lot to experience and play with at the event. From what we have seen (and confirmed with Google sources), this is certainly the case.

Introducing XBR 84X900 The Worlds First 84 inch 4K Ultra HD TV !

Sony said that the worlds first 4K Ultra HD content system will be launched with the release of its XBR-84X900 84-inch 4K Ultra HD TV. The TV itself will come packed with 8 million individual pixels (3,840 x 2,160) and possibly enough sparkle and clarity to make you forget to go back to work or to feed the goldfish.

"The XBR-84X900 has a three chipset solution that incorporates Sony’s proprietary and critically-acclaimed X-Reality PRO picture engine and upscales video content to near 4K quality," said Sonys Ray Hartjen. "That’s right, the programming you currently enjoy, whether from cable/satellite or even your favorite movies on Blu-ray Disc, will be upscaled to an even higher resolution."

He goes on to point out that not only does Sony create 4K projectors, 4K upscaling Blu-ray Disc players and 4K Ultra HDTVs, but also 4K professional cameras for production studios. Even more, Sony has its own studio – Sony Pictures Entertainment – that produces 4K content every day. That said, most of that content will trickle down into its 84-inch 4K Ultra HDTV beast.

"In the next couple of weeks, the XBR-84X900 television will ship to customers who placed pre-orders since the product introduction in September," Hartjen said. "As an extra bonus, included free with the purchase will be the world’s first 4K Ultra HD delivery solution, complete with pre-loaded, native 4K entertainment."

The content will be super-cool mind-blowing brag-to-your-neighbors kind of media, not some goofy 4K junk shot as a short demo. In fact, Sony plans to provide full length feature Hollywood productions made available exclusively to those who purchase the 84-inch 4K Ultra HDTV.

"As the leader in the 4K technology platform, you will continue to see Sony refer to 4K Ultra HD because unlike other consumer electronics companies, Sony is involved in the entire technology ecosystem, including making 4K production cameras, producing 4K content, and even installing over 10,000 4K projectors in cinemas across the country," he said.

Sonys XBR-84X900 4K Ultra HDTV is supposedly available this month for a monster price of $24,999.99 USD. Features include dynamic edge-lit LED backlighting, a three-chip 4K X-Reality Pro picture engine, a 10-unit Live Speaker System, passive Full HD 3D capabilities, network connectivity and more.

Nokia has received a 1 35 billion grant to develop the strongest material ever made

Graphene is a class 2D structure measuring just one atom thick. Its the strongest material ever produced; 300 times tougher than steel, its one of the lightest conductors in existence.

Nokia is leading the electronic firms within the Graphene Flagship Consortium, which includes 73 other companies and academic institutions from a number of mediums. The Finnish handset manufacturer has received a grant of $1.35 billion to research and develop graphene for practical applications, with the European Union for the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) providing the grant itself.

"Nokia is proud to be involved with this project, and we have deep roots in the field – we first started working with graphene already in 2006," said Henry Tirri, EVP, CTO of Nokia. "Since then, we have come to identify multiple areas where this material can be applied in modern computing environments. We’ve done some very promising work so far, but I believe the greatest innovations have yet to be discovered. Graphene happens to be an area where we, in Europe, have all the important players in the value chain who are ready to use it in applications. From that perspective, this is a very efficient and promising way of doing research investments for Europe."

"During the last 18 months we have seen a tremendous effort to build collaboration between European academia and industry," added Tapani Ryhänen, Nokias head of the Sensor and Material Technologies Laboratory. "Now we have all the ingredients in place to be globally successful. We believe that new two-dimensional materials will have an impact on industrial value chains in many ways, creating opportunities for new products, services and economic growth."

"Not only does creating a graphene research consortium open up new research possibilities, it will also create work and jobs across all of Europe," said Jani Kivioja, Research Leader at Nokia Research Center. "This kind of research is also an investment to the people that live within the EU, from an economy perspective."

"When we talk about graphene, we’ve reached a tipping point. We’re now looking at the beginning of a graphene revolution. Before this point in time, we figured out a way to manufacture cheap iron that led to the Industrial Revolution. Then there was silicon. Now, it’s time for graphene."

Tapani believes graphene is unlikely to become the norm for products, but instead itll be used to enhance products by improving existing materials and products.

Making products out of graphene will definitely happen across lots of different industries. By introducing people from different markets together within the EU-based consortium, we can begin to make real-world applications that benefit us all.

Really, this type of technology has radically improved the properties of many materials that can be used in our industry. It was discovered in the EU, and we’re very proud to have been involved from the very early years and now to be participating in the consortium. We have a very functional research team in place that can do world-class research with our partners.

We have kept our eyes open, and believe that this will bring immediate impact to our products over the coming years in some way or another.

Some 3G Connection Troubles Of iPad 2

Just when things were beginning to look like everything was going well for the iPad 2, especially after obtaining top honors on Consumer Reports’ rankings, there seem to be some nagging issues affecting Verizon iPad 2 owners.

Specifically, the issue relates to the 3G enabled version of Verizon’s iPad 2 unable to connect to Big Red’s 3G network. Although it doesn’t necessarily have any ties with any death grip issues, the problem is only resolved by performing the taxing process of resetting the tablet completely with the help of iTunes. Moreover, it’s unable to connect properly by resetting the network settings – so the only resolution is going through with that hard reset.

From the sound of it all on Apple’s discussion forums, one user started a thread regarding the problem on their iPad 2, and from there, it’s obvious from other owners that this isn’t an isolated issue. Increasing now to 6 whole pages of people conversing and attempting to troubleshoot the issue, it’s still yet to be conclusive whether or not this is indeed a widespread problem affecting many tablets.

Galaxy Note 10 1 Can Now Be Rooted Using Odin

Galaxy Note 10.1 is a new entry in the series of tablets by Samsung. Though the device was announced at the MWC this year, the device had some problems and the public release delayed due to that. Well, Samsung lately announced the release of the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet’s source code which allowed the developers to dig deeper and root it.

The developers over at XDA Forum have found out a way to root the latest Galaxy Note 10.1 and it comes in the form of a pre-rooted Stock ROM. If the word rooting sound strange to you, let me make you familiar with it. By rooting your device, you are allowing the apps on your device to access system-specific files. There are some apps in the Google Play which require your device to be rooted in order to install them, so if you root your device, you will be able to access those apps.

The root method for the Galaxy Note 10.1 uses the Odin Tool to flash the Stock ROM to your device and when you are done with it, you will have root access on your device. It doesn’t consist of any complex steps and it’s easy to gain root access on your device. Hit up the source link given below to see exact steps.

The New New Twitter Wants the World to be more Social

Boasting a smoother user experience and design, welcome the New, New Twitter.

Twitter has been relatively unchanged since it’s been around, and by relatively I compare it only to the way it rolls our features.

Whereas Facebook shoots first and asks questions later, Twitter seems to put together informative videos that really showcase the new experience through real life stories and adds excitement to the roll-out.

As you’ll see in the video below, the new Twitter experience puts emphasis on design and a more “interaction-centered” experience.

Power tweeters and novices alike will notice a much more “social” feel with the uniform action tabs added to both the web and mobile sites. (The Mobile site looks awesome!)

They’ve also made the home screen more readable. Our mind naturally wants to read left to right, and the previous design forced right side emphasis to see what our stats were etc, with the profile page reading the logical right to left. Now, it’s there all the time. Thank you from our necks.

Beyond the design changes, a more experience-based change in the culture of Twitter can be felt in the copy that they’re using to describe this new phase on Twitter’s life.

“Home” “Connect” “Discover” and “Me”

As the world becomes more wholly aware of social media (really less aware and more active), we’re definitely going to see the emphasis of trends and connecting to each other about noteworthy topics in the world. Under the “Discover” heading, they invite users to: ‘Spot a #hashtag? Enter it here to discover all of its related stories, conversation and content.”

I personally love the #hashtag not only to connect with others around a particular topic, but the ability to have organized Twitter Chats with multiple users in realtime. The connections made through regular interaction around #hashtags has created new business, networking opportunities, and lifelong friends, all surrounded in conversation.
